🖥️ Microsoft – Copilot’s Big Fall Drop
Microsoft announced 12 major updates to its Copilot assistant, exploring deeper integrations across Windows 11, Microsoft Edge and the Microsoft 365 apps.
A new AI character called “Mico” was introduced to bring a more friendly, conversational face to Copilot.
Features include: voice-bound wake word (“Hey Copilot”), improvements to meeting support, document summarization and idea generation.
🤖 OpenAI – Sora Video Generation Gets Smarter
OpenAI’s Sora text-to-video tool will soon support reusable characters (pets, objects, brand mascots) that can appear across multiple videos!
Built-in editing capabilities are available so you no longer need to leave the platform for basic tweaks. Android version expected soon as well.

🤖 Google LLC – Gemini App Gets More Fluid
In the Gemini mobile app, the AI model switcher (i.e., switching between available AI models inside the app) has been moved into the prompt bar. This means you can change models mid-conversation without restarting.

🎨 Stability AI – Stable Diffusion 3.5 Released
They launched the Stable Diffusion 3.5 Large model (8 billion parameters) aimed at higher-resolution, better prompt adherence, more diversity in outputs and improved typography/image quality.
The model is open-source (or at least openly released) and already available on platforms such as Azure AI Foundry and AWS (via Bedrock).
Additional “ControlNets” (Blur, Canny, Depth) are bundled to allow more detailed control over outputs.
